Zero carbon! The first natural gas differential pressure generator set put into operation

On November 12, the company's first natural gas differential pressure generator set applied to the "first station of West-East Gas transmission" in Tarim Oilfield completed 72-hour trial operation and was officially put into use.

"Designed to generate more than 5 million KWH of electricity per year, it can reduce carbon emissions by more than 5,000 tons." The company's on-site staff Qi Junyong said that the power generated by the unit will all be transported to the high-voltage power distribution room of the station, providing electricity for the surrounding oil and gas production station, which can completely neutralize the carbon emissions in the daily production of the station's annual device drive, pipeline maintenance, gas transmission and supply, and realize the "zero-carbon" operation of the station.

The differential pressure power generation process does not consume natural gas, does not produce pollution such as sewage, exhaust gas and solid waste, and completely "zero-carbon electricity generation". The successful promotion and application of this technology is a beneficial exploration of the company's clean and efficient distributed energy, which has important demonstration significance for further reducing carbon emissions of the natural gas industry and promoting the green and low-carbon development of the natural gas industry. At the same time, it also opens a new mode of resource utilization of the pressure difference of the natural gas pipeline network, and provides a new path for the company to expand the new energy product group.
